UltraVision KeraSoft® 3 is a 'World's First' breakthrough product, a Silicone Hydrogel contact lens for Keratoconus.
The lens is the newest version of a family of soft contact lenses designed to give clear, comfortable vision for people who have keratoconus. An improved front surface toric design gives more reliable vision, enhanced by unique wavefront technology. Manufactured in silicone hydrogel material the lens allows 4 times the oxygen permeability of traditional hydrogel materials ensuring excellent comfort and longer wearing times. KeraSoft® 3 benefits from a new, improved design and fitting system, which gives good, stable vision combined with greater comfort and longer wearing times. The award winning wavefront control optics are invaluable in reducing the Higher Order Aberrations that cause the visual distortions characteristic of keratoconus. The new SiH material has a water content of 74% and a low modulus of 0.38 which offers outstanding comfort and longer wearing times. Its excellent water retentive properties make it eminently suitable for people with dry eyes. The power range is extensive, covering +/- 30.00, cyl up to 11.00 DC, and axes 0º - 180º at 1º intervals.
