Corneal collagen crosslinking uses UV light with a riboflavin solution to strengthen the cornea in patients with keratoconus and ectasia after LASIK. Collagen crosslinking is approved for use outside the United States and has demonstrated good results. Currently, the FDA is considering approving the procedure.
